Job Summary:
The Affiliate Marketing team is looking for a well-organized, flexible and enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator to support the team in driving distribution strategy goals, reinforcing the value of our content portfolio, and increasing usage of our content across platforms. This position will focus on initiatives related to our distribution partners spanning across cable, telco, satellite, OTT and digital streaming. Content includes ABC, Disney Channels, Freeform, FX, NatGeo, ESPN, ACC Network, ESPN , Disney and others.
The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day creative review/approval, delivery of promotional assets and management of the team/account budget.
The candidate must be highly collaborative, a self-starter and someone who is able to work in a fast-paced environment, as well as communicate effectively and manage relationships accordingly.
Responsibilities:
• The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day marketing support and maintenance. This includes:
• Managing team budgets including the processing of all invoices/POs/payments to vendors.
• Coordinating monthly delivery of promotional assets for key distribution accounts.
• Compiling and distributing required account-specific updates and information needed for broader departmental communications.
• Managing on-going client requests for assets and materials including: facilitating asset review/approval process with internal sport and legal contacts, communicating usage details and subsequent promotional value to the respective brand marketing teams and channel partners.
• Providing administrative support for the Distribution Marketing team including: merchandise/premium ordering and inventory maintenance, developing campaign overviews and compiling team status reports.
• Assisting in all aspects of distribution and partnership marketing campaign activities including: budget management, concept/creative development, promotional fulfillment, creative deployment, and coordination.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders (sales, business strategy, research, legal, consumer marketing, communications and programming) to assist in the creation and presentation of marketing plans and client/internal presentations.
• Proactively seeking information to gain a comprehensive understanding of our industry including our content offerings, emerging technologies, platforms, trends competitive landscape and all facets of their respective accounts to influence our marketing strategies and initiatives.
• Acting as the resident expert on the assigned accounts, learning everything there is to know about the industry/competition, the programming strategy/calendar and the relevant sports; also, be an expert on content and new media industries.
• Participate in the usage and management of digital marketing tools, including the AZ (Affiliate Zone website), Brand Builder (for requesting marketing tools & materials), and CRM (database and list building).
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year of related marketing or business experience with an understanding of marketing fundamentals, creative evaluation and budget management.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task on a high profile, high volume portfolio.
• Detail-oriented self-starter with excellent organization skills and attention to detail required.
• Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
• Initiative to take charge of tasks, anticipate next action and keep projects moving forward.
• Steady demeanor in dealing with shifts in business priorities and schedules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Experience with Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms.
• Knowledge of and interest in the evolving media landscape and media consumption habits.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are a plus.
