Job Summary:
The Manager of Digital Marketing will be responsible for supporting the Associate Director in fan acquisition across ESPN digital properties. Areas of focus will include the ESPN App, ESPN , Live Streaming (TVE), Video-on-Demand, and Fantasy while communicating and integrating a consistent message of digital products across ESPN's multimedia platforms.
In this role, the Manager will plan and execute across multiple departments including Product, Edit, Media, Sales, Sports Marketing, Affiliate and Creative Works. Supporting the entire Fan Engagement team will be crucial to success, along with the ability to effectively measure performance of campaigns and apply learnings. Communication across teams will also be important, highlighting valuable insights that can drive results and revenue.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development of digital marketing projects, to execute insights-driven communication strategies
• Foster relationships across key departments, including Product, Media and Marketing
• Effectively manage Digital Marketing Coordinator, while building an atmosphere of trust and creativity with the broader team
• Proactively execute digital concepts that can improve our existing portfolio and drive efficiency of messaging
• Constantly drive improvement of measurement and performance of ESPN's digital products
Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of 4 years work experience
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in fast-pace environment required
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Solution oriented and strong problem solving skills
• Familiar with social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat
• Familiar with performance-based marketing tools, including but not limited to cross-device analytics and attribution models
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in Consumer Marketing, Direct-to-Consumer Marketing, and/or Performance Marketing
• Experience in digital acquisition campaigns (specifically app download campaigns), and digital brand management
• Experience in digital advertising (e.g., display campaigns, SEM, PPC) to acquire, retain and engage fans
• Experience in SEO and App Store Search to plan and optimize acquisition campaigns
• Experience in web analytics (e.g., Adobe Analytics/Target) to plan and optimize digital campaigns
• Experience in digital campaign optimization (e.g., A/B testing on web pages, display, search, social, video, audio)
