Highlights Supervisor I

Job Responsibilities

Trains, supervises and oversees production assistants in cutting highlights and other elements for studio based programming

Ensures highlights are suitable for air and contain creative and journalistically sound content

Uses extensive sports and technical knowledge to determine the concepts, look and content of highlights for assigned sports news programs

Provides written and verbal feedback/constructive criticism to production assistants

Provides an atmosphere that is conducive to quality work

Works in concert with assignment desk in “rolling” on feeds

Balances edit facilities/schedule with production personnel

Required Qualifications Strong sports knowledge, understanding of production techniques, strong communication skills.

Minimum 3 years of television experience.

College degree preferred.
