We are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Analyst interested in making an impact with a growing technology business with the Walt Disney Company. This person should be a self-starter, creative problem solver, excellent communicator and willing to build relationships across business units. This individual will support Disney Streaming Services, a business that will deliver on Disney's direct to consumer business strategy, including ESPN and Disney .
The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for the Disney Streaming Services direct to consumer subscriptions for ESPN , Disney , and other. This role will be heavily involved in the end to end process that tracks subscriber purchases all the way through to the revenue recognition. Additionally, the Analyst will be reviewing new and existing service agreements and determining the timing of revenue recognition and invoicing.
Responsibilities:
• Understand, track, record and reconcile the accounting transactions for direct to consumer subscription revenue
• Track and maintain revenue schedules for business to business revenue streams
• Obtain and integrate revenue share statements from external and internal partners
• Complete monthly revenue share calculations for 3rd party deliverables
• Track and record deferred revenue and reclassify cash advances when applicable
• Record accounting transactions for receivables, revenue and cost accounts
• Perform financial variance analyses versus prior periods and forecast
• Perform monthly and quarterly general ledger account reconciliations

Basic Qualifications:
• 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• SAP experience
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills delivering commitments
• Experience understanding contracts, extracting financial information and determining necessary accounting treatment, and recording accounting transactions within an ERP system
• Experience communicating accounting and financial results to management
• Ability to self-schedule weekly and yearly plans
• Ability to facilitate the resolution of conflicts
• Ability to proactively propose improvement solutions to processes leveraging technology and innovation
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in the recording and reporting of revenue and receivables
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
