Job Summary:
The Digital Video Producer II - Podcast is responsible for developing, producing, and integrating ads into ESPN audio and video podcasts. The role involves daily collaboration with the podcast leadership team, talent, and various internal and external stakeholders. This individual will oversee both short- and long-term content strategies and manage a team of direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and enhance ideas and concepts for daily productions and long-term planning.
• Ensure content integration across ESPN platforms, including the ESPN App and YouTube.
• Oversee production, editing, and content creation across all relevant platforms.
• Collaborate with ESPN colleagues to produce compelling multi-platform content.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of sports news, trends, and relevant guests for shows.
• Assist with guest talent recruitment and development, while providing editorial guidance.
• Work with sales and marketing teams to align ad inventory with content opportunities.
• Drive audience engagement and develop an audience growth strategy with the podcast leadership team.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in podcast, digital, or broadcast production.
• At least 5 years of experience managing a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects).
• Experience with remote recording software (Zoom, Squadcast, Riverside).
• Field production experience, including DSLR camera operation.
• Background in news and journalism.
Education Requirements:
• High School Education required.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree preferred.
