Job Summary:
The Digital Video Associate Producer I - Originals is responsible for producing and editing narrative video content for ESPN-branded channels across social and digital platforms, especially YouTube. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, innovative, and knowledgeable in digital media distribution and content creation.
Responsibilities:
• Edit longform and shortform video content for ESPN's YouTube channel, social/digital platforms, and linear TV
• Collaborate with talent to write and refine scripts
• Create standout graphics (static and motion) for digital environments
• Conduct research to source production elements from media asset management systems
• Research, pitch, and develop future content ideas for ESPN platforms
• Shoot video content in both studio and field environments
• Ensure timely, accurate, and complete delivery of multimedia elements to various platforms
• Write titles, design thumbnails, and manage video publishing for digital platforms
• Provide feedback to fellow editors on the team
• Use data to inform and drive content creation
• Follow established production department procedures
Basic Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of sports, current athletes, events, and storylines
• Proficiency in video editing using Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and After Effects
• Creativity, storytelling skills, and a passion for content from ideation to publication
• Fluency in YouTube and other emerging platforms
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to adapt quickly under various production conditions
• Familiarity with ESPN programming and platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with video shooting, including lighting, camera, and audio
• Minimum of 2 years in multimedia content production or related experience

• High school diploma
Preferred Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, communications, journalism, or a related field
Salary Range (Los Angeles, CA):
$52,398 - $70,290 per year, based on a 40-hour work week. Compensation may vary depending on geographic region, experience, and qualifications. The position may include additional benefits such as bonuses, long-term incentives, and medical or financial benefits.
