Coordinator, Sports Marketing Pro Sports
Job Summary:
The Coordinator assists the Manager and Senior Director, in the development of overall marketing and advertising strategies for sports properties including the NBA, WNBA, MLB and Golf. He/She leads the execution and implementation of marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities:
• The coordinator will assist the Manager with the day-to-day management of the property. This includes:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the NBA, WNBA, MLB and Golf marketing team, including managing timelines, creative development and execution of marketing materials
• Ensuring all creative and marketing assets are developed and delivered flawlessly and on-time
• Learning the department's budget process and managing the team finances
• Working closely with in-house media team on the scheduling of all on/off-channel assets
• Working closely with Programming/Production/Sales to align marketing initiatives with partner goals
• Utilizing fan insights and metrics to help guide marketing messaging, prioritization, and optimizations
• Establishing relationships with key personnel in the marketing department, other business units, and advertising agencies
• Ensuring accuracy and excellence of all work done internally and by the agency
• The coordinator will be the resident expert on the assigned sport property, learning everything there is to know about the industry/competition and the programming strategy/calendar.
Basic Qualifications:
• Related marketing or business experience with an understanding of marketing fundamentals, management of timelines, budget management and creative evaluation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Detail oriented self-starter
• Outstanding verbal and written interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of and interest in all sports
• A healthy appreciation of the role sports plays in popular culture
• Is a passionate ESPN fan
• Embraces and passionate about social media. Knowledge of and understanding of all social media platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Adobe Suite experience desired
