Associate Director II
Job Summary:
Based in Miami, FL, you will be responsible for supporting the directing of live studio shows including: live studio shows, live/live-to-tape specials and the integration of live international sporting events
Responsibilities:
• Working with the Director assigned to live studio productions to assemble and prepare the elements of each show.
• Attending daily show meetings and coordinate radio shows for TV.
• Team building by demonstrating strong technical skills.
• Operating basic audio mixing.
• Providing a clear, concise and orderly flow of information to those involved during the broadcast.
• Assisting the show Director with such pre-production elements as promotions, teases, graphics, effects and font passes on packages; coordinates video and fonts with the flow of the show.
• As assigned by the Director, may direct all or parts of live studio shows.
• Contributing to the achievement of personal work efficiencies through planning and organization; may influence or improve the work efficiencies of less senior Associate Directors and Media Operators.
• Performing daily facilities check with Bristol, CT.
• Participating in training others in operational areas and generate training documentation.
Basic Qualifications:
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• A strong knowledge of international soccer.
• A thorough understanding of television production
• Clear, concise and comprehensive verbal communication skills.
• Ability to think quickly in a pressure situation
• Leadership skills are a must as the position includes helping the Director in organizing and executing the look of the show and problem-solving after the show.
• Hard-working, detail-oriented, passionate about production, interested in technical areas and continually offering creative ideas.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Five years major market experience or network equivalent preferred.
• Equipment: Ross Vision switcher, K2 Summit, Wheatstone mixer, ENCO software, Sony BRC remote control unit
