This role is ideal for someone with strong editorial instincts, a passion for sport, and hands-on experience in digital video production.
In this role, you will work five days out of seven, with regular weekend shifts and varying hours that may start early or finish late, so flexibility is essential. This is an office-based hybrid role, with some days spent in the Hammersmith, London office and others working from home.
The Opportunity & Responsibilities:
• Be able to identify trending, ''must-see'' type moments from games or on social platforms and translate them into engaging digital video opportunities.
• Participate with teams internally and externally in the creation and distribution of content that best activates new audiences.
• Analyse usage and performance metrics that can lead to content enhancements and improvements
• Effectively manage production timelines to ensure projects are executed on time
• Maintain proficiency and knowledge in the latest trends, technology and best practices for digital video content on YouTube & ESPN owned and operated digital platforms.
• Ensuring edits meet ESPN's editorial, visual, and brand standards; delivering accurate, well-researched video content.
• Hitting deadlines for daily content and bigger productions effectively and independently.
• Ensuring content is technically optimised for YouTube/web & app best practice (Correct metadata, titles, descriptions, and thumbnails.)
• Being dependable on shoots and during fast-turnaround moments.
• Representing the team professionally in cross-functional meetings.
• Making sound calls when reacting to breaking news or fast-moving sports stories.
• Spotting potential issues (rights, accuracy, tone) and escalating appropriately.
The Experience We Require From You:
• Experience in digital video production & distribution, ideally within sport or entertainment.
• Identifiable experience working on a branded YouTube channel.
• Strong editing skills (Premiere Pro essential; After Effects a bonus).
• Good understanding of YouTube.
• Shooting experience, with confidence to go on solo shoots.
• Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and deliver against tight deadlines.
• Passion for sport and awareness of key news cycles, events, and personalities.
