Position Overview: ErosSTX is seeking a qualified Publicity Assistant to support the National Publicity department. This position provides
support to the National Publicity division within the overall publicity organization, as well as the EVP of Publicity. The
National Publicity Assistant will help in planning, executing and managing key aspects of film publicity campaigns. This
role requires an individual who is passionate about publicity, self-motivated, creative, highly organized, and has the
ability to be flexible with ever-changing priorities. Discretion and good judgement are a must. You must also have
impeccable verbal communication, grammar and writing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate travel, generate itineraries and accompany talent & filmmakers to press-related events including junkets, photo shoots, personal appearances and premieres
- Manage the distribution of daily press breaks, tune-ins, screening memos, reaction & quote memos, publicity reports and calendars to filmmakers & internal executives
- Be an integral and valued voice in campaign brainstorming and discussions
- Stay on top of relevant and current entertainment industry news, especially as it relates to campaign work
- Assist National Publicity team to help manage photo, clip and EPK approvals, debuts and distribution
- Work closely with national press agencies on agenda points, meeting notes, documenting and communicating PR opportunities
- Assist team with press pitches, research projects and memos
- Create and maintain various presentations, schedules, team & press calendars and reports
- Manage press lists & cover press screenings
- Responsible for National Publicity team budget and will oversee managing and updating budgets, with frequent communication to Finance team; responsible for processing all invoices/check requests for national publicity team
- Cover phone calls, schedule meetings and process expenses for the EVP of Publicity as well as other department members on an as-needed basis
- Follow up with all vendors daily to ensure timely invoicing, and spearhead quick internal approvals
- Additional duties supporting the team and marketing organization as needed
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or related field
- 1-2 years of related administrative experience
- Strong knowledge of current social media channels and future trends
- Knowledge of Google Drive Suite, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of AP Style guidelines
- Respecting confidentiality and security protocols
- Strong sense of integrity, confidentiality, diplomacy, and professionalism required
- Ability to work with limited supervision and to adjust easily to changing priorities
- Excellent organization skills
- Detail oriented
- Reliable and timely
