Production Director sought by Entravision Communications Corp. in Denver, CO.
Duties: Develop strategic television commercials and promotions production plans for Entravision’s Spanish-language television stations, focusing on improving profitability and operational efficiency. Conceptualize and produce creative services materials, directed to the Hispanic community, for promotion, sales, news and special projects for the stations’ on-air and digital media products. Ensure that production contents are in conformance with station and network policies and regulations. Manage budgetary and staffing matters relating to television stations’ commercials production and promotional functions. Review expenditure, financial, and operation reports within various departments engaged in commercials and promotional development, developing plans to minimize costs and maximize returns for approval of management. Analyze existing operational format and develop methodologies to reduce production and post-production cost and time. Research and incorporate innovative technological changes and services such as advanced 3D animation, music production, and non-linear audio/video editing into new audio-visual and graphics designs. Coordinate and oversee the work of various departments engaged in the production of television commercials and other promotional projects. Monitor and direct subordinates in auditioning talent and proposed programs, and oversee the coordination of audio work, scenes, music, timing, camera work, and script writing to ensure that commercial and promotional objectives are reached.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Communications Arts, Fine Arts, Production Management, or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive production management or related experience in the television industry, managing live broadcast programming; working with studio recording equipment and mobile units, using television programming apparatus such as teleprompters and VTR equipment, in post-production and audio editing. Must be fluent in Spanish.
