Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Programming primary responsibility is to structure the quarterly schedules for the 2 Over the Air Networks by being very familiar with all licensed and original programming available and strategizing the efficient use of it.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages and maintains an accurate list of programming by managing Wide Orbit Program which includes inputting programming data for both Networks. Tracks usage of titles to make sure ''runs'' are maximized as per license agreements.
Supports/Assists legal and finance by tracking contract terms and payment schedules to third party suppliers of programming.
Assists Director of Operations in supplying information that drives program preparation schedules.
Supplies all listing services with quarterly schedule.
Supplies Affiliates and Network Websites with quarterly schedule
Works closely with the Head of Programming in setting programming strategy, creating special events and tent pole promotions.
Interfaces with the Network Traffic teams in successful execution of programming in the daily logs created for both Networks.
Education, Experience, Certification Requirements:
Six years of experience in television, with 3-5 years of programming, and production
experience.
Bachelor's degree in journalism, or equivalent knowledge
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
Ability to work extremely well in collaborative environment
Able to manage the repurposing of various content
Ability to work well under pressure
Able to make timely and appropriate decisions
Must be able to work in a team environment with minimum supervision
Experience in over the top products and digital media
As this position supports a 24x7 television environment, candidates must have flexibility to work days, nights, overnights and weekends as needed and without advance notice.
