We are looking for New York City Casting Coordinator. As an integral part of Central Casting, the Casting Coordinator is responsible for liaising with clients and Casting Directors in working to provide after-hours support to production. The Casting Coordinator will manage information and the documentation flow in a demanding and changing environment to facilitate project needs with accuracy and efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle a high volume of after hours phone calls and voicemails from clients and background actors without difficulty.
Interface with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
Maintain a smooth workflow transition across varying shifts.
Communicate and finalize any pending information needed from production for the next shooting day.
Support clients as needed by booking last-minute replacements, rush calls, additional hires, pulling photos, calling, emailing and/or texting details, call time changes, checking background availability, setting up fittings and interviews.
Communicate accurate show information to background actors as required.
Update and process casting briefings with replacement information and ensure this has been shared with production.
Complete thorough recap notes in a nightly/weekend Casting Coordinator report.
Attend huddles and submit team reports.
Become proficient and knowledgeable in production paperwork: call sheets/prelims/final prelims.
Create nightly security emails for studios as required.
Provide SAG-AFTRA a nightly list of all background actors working the next day.
Process Cast Clearances and Taft Hartley paperwork as needed.
Work effectively across a variety of communication channels: in-person, phone, email, and live-chat.
Elevate and report attendance and/or behavioral or client service issues.
Maintain a high level of professionalism when working with clients and teammates and handling extremely sensitive and/or proprietary information.
Gain knowledge of union contracts and adult and child labor laws to help guide clients.
Completes and applies training programs to uphold a high level of expertise in their role.
Become proficient and knowledgeable with all office systems including but not limited to phones and casting programs.
Optimize the use of all available resources when given a project.
Support a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Excellent client service / people skills- ability to work with many different personality types.
Quickly grasps new concepts, ideas, and workflows.
Effective solution-based problem-solving skills including decision making, time management and immediate prioritization of tasks as assigned.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with superior attention to detail, and the ability to organize and express ideas clearly.
Strong working knowledge of MS Word & Excel, Power Point, MS Team and Zoom.
Proven record of dependability and reliability.
Self-starter with a positive attitude.
Strong attention to detail.
Work successfully in a team environment as well as independently.
Ability to work overtime as required by business needs.
Supporter of company goals, values, and procedures.
Customer service experience highly desirable.
Experience working in a fast-paced work environment preferred.
General knowledge of the entertainment industry a plus.

The pay rate for this position is $20.16/hr and is commensurate with experience related to the position
