
Junior Tax Compliance Analyst

Job Summary:
The Junior Tax Compliance Analyst is responsible for all Incentives-related invoicing and A/R and supports the Tax Compliance Team in preparing year-end working files, corporate tax returns, GST/QST filings and government audits for film and television production companies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create invoices for certification fees and administration service fees.
• Track tax credits received and monitor the status of fees to be invoiced.
• Liaise with studio executives to confirm wire transfer information for refund transfers
• Conduct monthly follow-up on all outstanding Incentives accounts receivable.
• Prepare and provide accounts receivable reports and refund reconciliations for clients.
• Respond to all questions regarding Incentives A/R, including payment dates, invoice numbers, payment status, project numbers, and outstanding invoice items.
• Prepare year end working files for production companies.
• Prepare corporate tax returns.
• Prepare GST/QST filings for production companies.
• Assemble and organize supporting documentation for CRA, Revenue Quebec, and Sales Tax audits.
• Maintain organized and complete digital files for all assigned production companies.
• Contribute to internal meetings and support ad hoc projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Canadian corporate tax and GST/QST is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective time management and prioritization
• Clear written and verbal communication
