Engine Room is looking for a full time non-union Assistant I/O Editor to work in-office in the Silver Lake area starting immediately. This is a great opportunity to work on high-end entertainment projects. Applicants must be quick learners and well versed in Adobe Premiere, Windows and Mac OS, with a knowledge of common film and television/streaming resolutions, frame rates and codecs. After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, are a plus. An ideal candidate also understands basic IT pipeline needs as well as the technical side of the VFX editorial process.
Applicants must have strong communication and team skills with a willingness to take instruction and quickly adapt. High level organization and the ability to perform under tight deadlines is a must. This is not a creative editing position but has room for growth. The initial position is for 6 weeks with the possibility of permanent if the fit is right.
