EMPIRE is seeking an experienced travel specialist to execute all travel-related business for company staff and VIP clientele. The ideal candidate with possess solid and specialized knowledge of luxury hotels, destinations, tour operators/DMC's, and relevant contacts worldwide. This is a client-facing role, and as such, candidates should be able to converse eloquently and confidently with a wide variety of strong personalities. Candidates must also be flexible regarding availability and have a ''do whatever it takes'' mentality.
Responsibilities
Must have advanced experience booking air, car and hotel, along with handling invoicing and ticketing. Be adept at using the internet to research destinations, accommodations, travel advisories, reviews and costs in order to best meet customers' travel objectives. Will work hand in hand with relevant in-house staff to coordinate travel for upcoming projects and events Must be experienced with the delicate guidance of dealing with VIP clients, and have the confidence to guide them towards making the right choices for their trips. Must possess extensive knowledge of fine hotels and resorts the world over, ranging from the major big cities to smaller exclusive destinations, favored by a high net-worth clientele. Must be able to prioritize daily tasks to achieve timely completion of all travel arrangements including ticketing, invoicing, and accounting related to the same. Must be able to deal with occurring travel problems, complaints, or refunds Will enter data into our software and maintain client files Will maintain statistical and financial records Must be able to commute to downtown San Francisco
Qualifications
Minimum 2 year recent experience as a full-time travel agent, booking domestic and international travel using public and private carriers. Proven work experience as a travel agent Ability to interact, communicate, and negotiate effectively Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel trends Personal travel experience will be considered an advantage
