Full Stack Engineer
EMPIRE Records is an independent label, born and grown out of the bay area. We keep ourselves busy with a large range of music-related services from original content and marketing, to distributions and recordings. We are looking for a full stack engineer to help bolster our engineering team.
Responsibilities
Create high quality code that can scale with a significant number of users
Work directly under Lead Engineer to implement new solutions and maintain existing code base
Work with department leads to understand and analyze new requirements
Inform senior leadership of new tech ideas, products, and approaches that could help the business grow and improve client experiences
Assist in QA and testing of existing and/or new features
Participate in release, build and deployment activities
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
Professional experience as a developer/engineer working with the LAMP stack and front end technologies (Linux, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS)
Ability to analyze and improve performance of web applications
Experience with agile methodologies and the full SDLC; able to propose new ideas, perform feasibility analyses, and scope work
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Excited about working in a fast-paced environment
San Francisco area based (Remote optional)
Technical Skills
Expert-level programming and debugging skills in PHP, jQuery, JSON and Javascript
Proficient with MySQL, including complex SQL query writing and database design
Experience and familiarity with source control (GIT)
Experience with Object Oriented Programming
Experience working with Linux
Experience with Amazon Web Services
Nice To Have:
Music Industry Experience & Knowledge
Android / iOS Development Experience & Knowledge
