A&R Administrator
EMPIRE is an independent label, born and grown out of the Bay Area. We have grown to become the largest independent record label in the U.S., with a significant global presence covering Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia and North and South America.
EMPIRE is looking for a passionate A&R Administrator to support the A&R team. The ideal candidate will have A&R Admin experience and be an extremely detail-oriented person, who can handle the administration duties listed below as well as anything thrown their way.
As A&R Administrator, you'll assist the A&R team with various projects and tasks. We're looking for a motivated, organized and ambitious person to contribute to our team. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to continue to develop their A&R career in the music industry by working at a top of the line record label and honing their skills.
What you'll be doing:
Assisting with the administrative and day to day duties of the A&R department
Collaborate with other departments including Marketing, Finance, Radio etc.
Coordinating and maintaining contracts
Submitting bills and purchase orders
Assist VP with monthly financial forecasting of project spend
Scheduling studio time for artists
Coordinating artist travel and lodging arrangements
Collecting and distributing audio masters
Collaborating with artist/producer management
Troubleshooting budget concerns with A&R
Provide information as requested by the Royalties team
Analyzing and administering recording budgets
Providing excellent customer service both internally and externally throughout the recording process; ensuring timely payment, accuracy, and guidance throughout
Manage Accounts Payable activity along with the finance team
Gathering required paperwork to ensure music is cleared for release into the marketplace
Collaborate with senior management and A&R regarding the recording process and creative plan
Gather tax forms and union paperwork to ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement
Prepare reports and project summaries as requested by various departments
Any additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
A&R Administrative experience
Music industry knowledge
Strong administrative skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
You understand the importance of confidentiality and discretion
A ''no job too small'' attitude
Ability to juggle multiple projects at a time and complete tasks fully through
You're not afraid to ask questions and learn as you work
You're extremely detail oriented
You're extremely organized
Be a team player, open to feedback and strong communication.
Live in San Francisco area or willing to relocate
