Empire is seeking to hire a highly-motivated and resourceful individual to work in the technical production department to produce and execute various live events and projects across multiple client types and mediums.
In this position you will work under the Director of Production to participate in a wide variety of projects by responding to proposals, developing overall production plans and solutions, planning and organizing production documentation, preparing budgets, advancing riders, performing site surveys, as well as executing and supervising production onsite among many other responsibilities.
Candidates must have a general knowledge of live events to include concerts, conferences, awards programs, product launches, experiential activations, festivals, broadcasts, etc.
Additional requirements include;
• Technical proficiency in production knowledge including, but not limited to staging, audio, lighting, video, power, rigging, scenic, cameras and record, etc.
• Proficiency in budgeting and technical documentation (production schedules, crew lists, tech sheets, elevations, scenic planning, etc.)
• Ability to work and manage various outside vendors, as well as work collaboratively with internal Empire producers and creative personnel
• Ability to negotiate and advance talent and performance riders
• Ability to communicate effectively to clients
• Ability and willingness to be onsite from load-in to load-out
• Highly organized with documentation and detail oriented
• Creative ability to provide technical solutions and ideas to add value to proposals
• 3-5 years of related experience
Empire Entertainment is a New York City and Tokyo-based event, entertainment and broadcast production company. Empire produces major events for corporations, brands, associations, not-for-profits and private clients. Some of our recent projects include The Webby Awards, The Keep a Child Alive Black Ball, Ozy Fusion Festival, The Shorty Awards and dozens more annually.
