Physical Distribution Manager

EMPIRE is seeking a Physical Distribution Manager to serve as a key contact with external clients, and to drive the company's CD, vinyl, and other physically recorded material releases. As a successful hire, you will be detail-oriented, highly organized, able to work under tight deadlines, have knowledge of all elements of physical distribution; from manufacturing product, distribution sales cycle, and accounting.

You will report to the Director of Product Marketing & E-Commerce, and the VP of Operations and will work closely with Product Managers when their releases require a physical component, third-party vendors for manufacturing, as well as external partners in domestic and international territories. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously. You bring with you not only the skills and ability to complete the responsibilities below, but are also eager to learn new facets of the company.

Responsibilities:
· Ensure timely delivery of assets and information to EMPIRE, manufacturing, and distribution warehouse.
· Create sales one-sheets for each title.
· Interface with key members from our distribution partners, and supply necessary sales and marketing information on a weekly basis.
· Solicit and pitch titles to international distribution partners.
· Send e-mail blasts to retail buyers alerting them of our upcoming releases.
· Process drop ship orders for labels/artists.
· Create store lists provided to the artist for day of release posting on social media.
· Prepare accounting statements.
· Keep track of manufacturing, shipping, and artist sales expenses.
· Offer high level marketing suggestions for artists/labels, specifically for physical releases.
· Coordinate in-stores for artists.
· Offer creative/design input for specialty packaging.


Requirements:
· Work in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate
· Bachelor's Degree (preferably in business administration or related fields)
· 3-5 years of experience with physical music distribution
· Proven understanding of music distribution
· Attention to detail
· Highly organized
· Basic accounting skills
· Effective time management skills and ability to multitask
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Sheets / Docs.
· Photoshop experience a plus
· Professional and proactive work ethic
· Ability to work with teams and external partners
· Strong writing skills
· Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
· Loves music
