INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION
EMI Music North America is looking for enthusiastic, motivated interns for our Spring 2011 Internship Program.
INTERNSHIP: Latin Radio & Digital Marketing Intern
SALARY: Unpaid (for college credit only)
PURPOSE: To expose college student to hands on work experience in their field of Radio & Digital Marketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Radio and Promotions:
• Help build and maintain a radio database.
• Help solicit music to radio stations & promo companies.
• Help ship product to radio stations requesting music.
• Help at radio station special events (if needed).
Digital Marketing:
• Post news items on artists' social networking sites.
• Posting music videos/promotional videos on youtube.
• Posting promotional links across social network platforms.
• Resizing photos to post on media warehouse/accounts.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Familiarity with new technologies and existing online marketing strategies
• Knowledge of graphic and web design software and formats; knowledge of HTML, PHP, Flash, CSS and other web protocols preferred
• Strong knowledge of maintaining and utilizing Social Networking platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Youtube, etc.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish and English required.
• Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited college and be receiving academic credit for an internship.
• Internships require a commitment of at least 16 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks.
• Interest in pursuing a career in Promotions.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, writing and organizational skills required.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
• Must be pro-active, detailed oriented, and possess good follow-through while adhering to deadlines.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks sufficiently while working independently.
• Strong interest in the music industry preferred.
• Strong organizational skills are preferred.
• Candidate must be reliable and have good time management skills.
