Our client, a well-known theme park and resort company, is looking for a Sales Manager to join their growing team. The Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting, planning, booking and coordinating group meetings and room sales to meet/exceed revenue and profit goals, and is also responsible for negotiating meeting and guest room rates and catering options for group business.
Responsibilities
• Prospects for potential clients and solicits new and repeat business through cold calling, telemarketing, lead follow up, telemarketing, referrals, internet prospecting, site tours, sales blitz activity, and other means deemed appropriate.
• Limited travel required for, but not limited to, trade shows, outside sales calls, training and conferences.
• Plans, up-sells and coordinates meeting/function specifics with clients to include space requirements and layout, meeting times, audio-visual equipment, menus, billing, etc.
• Prepares and executes sales/catering contracts, event orders, group resumes to ensure quality product delivery and guest satisfaction.
• Effectively communicates details and requirements for Group Rooms and/ or Meeting events both internally and externally via written and verbal communication.
• Assists with the completion of monthly booking report(s). Responsible for completing Weekly Sales Activity Report.
• Prepares reports as necessary to improve management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities.
• Consistently achieves weekly sales prospecting goals and executes strategic action plans for assigned market segment.
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years hospitality sales experience required.
• Previous management experience required.
• Previous guest/customer service experience required.
• Previous experience with Delphi and Opera systems are preferred.
• Must successfully pass a background check, drug test and obtain a TN driver's license
