Our client, a skincare company, is looking for a Logistics Manager who will be responsible for planning and overseeing global transportation both inbound and outbound into plants, distribution centers (DC's), and from DC's to customers. This position will be responsible for leading execution strategies and operational moves to balance timely delivery for projects
Responsibilities
• Determine and prioritize largest spend of transportation for the company and drive those costs down through strategic partnerships with carriers.
• Determine technology solutions to provide automation for operational execution, visibility to product throughout transit, and real time financial understanding of transportation costs.
• Partner with a freight audit company to ensure transportation charges are correct and review, audit, and approve freight bills.
• Execute transportation RFP's including RFP creation, execution, negotiation, and contracting with carriers.
• Track quality, delivery commitments vs. actuals, transport costs and efficiencies, and conduct monthly and quarterly reviews to address service failures and improvements.
• Lead S&OP transportation forecasting vs demand.
• Assist with operational needs at 3PL facilities including but not limited to: inbound/outbound forecasting, small parcel forecasting, and supplies management.
Qualifications
• Seven (7) or more years of transportation experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or a related field, required. Master's degree (MBA), a plus.
• Global experience required including experience in importing and exporting product.
• Previous experience required in U.S. Parcel, Global Air and Ocean, Less Than Truckload (LTL), and Full Truck Load (FTL) is required and B2B and DTC experience transportation preferred.
• Experience within beauty, hair care, skin care, CPG (consumer package goods) industry and/or pharmaceutical environment strongly preferred.
• Experience in MRP systems, and Oracle ERP experience preferred.
• Demonstrate advanced/expert proficiency in Excel techniques and statistical analysis; experience with ''Vlookups''/ Pivot Tables.
