General Intern
Eleven Arts is a Los Angeles distributor of critically acclaimed anime titles, and production company of award winning live action films. Our anime titles include A Silent Voice, Millennium Actress, and Penguin Highway. Previous film productions include Lords of Chaos, Downrange, Man From Reno, and Uzumasa Limelight. Currently for anime, we are on the cusp of releasing The Wonderland by Keiichi Hara, and in production we are working on films including Prisoners of the Ghostland.
We are seeking a motivated intern who is ready for handling responsibility in a professional environment. Interns will mainly contribute to anime distribution projects, but can potentially be involved with live production. Interns will work closely with our distribution coordinator and handle general requests from the rest of the team.
Main responsibilities will include:
General office tasks (answering phones, checking mail, making coffee, emptying trash)
Assistance with distribution operations (Inputting data on excel, packing/shipping film posters, creating shipping labels, and contacting theaters)
Localization tasks (Assisting with subtitles, dubs, and other materials)
Marketing support (Research, merch, content creation)
Other responsibilities may include:
Translation of projects originally in a non-English language (mainly Japanese)
Polishing them into English adaptations
Researching and editing pitch decks and other production promotional materials
Skills
Proficient in Excel and Google Suite
Interest and knowledge of anime is a must
English / writing / film / research backgrounds preferred
Strong writing skills and command of the English language required
The ability to speak and write in Japanese is highly preferred
Familiarity with social media platforms preferred
Our internship period will be the duration of an academic quarter/semester. Internships are for school credit. Your resume and cover letter are both required for application.
