Elevado Media Inc., is a boutique executive consulting and advisory company for filmmakers and television production companies.
Elevado provides senior level consulting and advisory services regarding development, financing, production, and worldwide distribution of independent feature films and television programming. Elevado is currently looking for an office manager in its Beverly Hills office.
Job Purpose:
The business manager will support company operations by maintaining office systems and supervising staff and serve as a liaison between clients and other industry professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the Los Angeles Filmed entertainment scene. The company is looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must as well as resourcefulness and strong attention to detail. Computer skills are essential. Prior industry experience preferred and college degree required.
Duties:
Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions. Must possess the ability roll calls, schedule and coordinate meetings and travel plans when necessary.
Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement. Handle script coverage when needed.
Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.
Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
Maintains office staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Maintains office staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills/Qualifications:
Supply Management, Informing Others, Tracking Budget Expenses, Delegation, Staffing, Managing Processes, Supervision, Developing Standards, Promoting Process Improvement, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
Professional, detail-oriented, able to manage busy desk. Multitasking, prioritizing and superior organizational skills are essential.
Professional in demeanor and appearance with an excellent phone manner and a good sense of humor.
As the company has many business interactions with Canadian and European Businesses, speaking French would be considered a plus.
