PR & Social Media Assistant

This is a Full Time Job

EKC (Eileen Koch & Company INC.) is an established Branding, Marketing and PR firm in Los Angeles for the past 24 1/2 years, with a strong, dedicated and knowledgeable team. We are looking for a motivated, assertive PR & Social Media Assistant. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, creative, extremely articulate, talented and hard working, with natural abilities and a deep passion for Public Relations.

This position is open ONLY to individuals with extensive and extreme, thorough knowledge about PR & social media management, and those living in Los Angeles or the immediate surrounding areas.

Responsibilities of the position will include:

-Writing media pitches, press releases, client bios, etc.

-Experience in securing media coverage for a variety of clients

-Compiling & maintaining media lists

-Researching, developing and creating daily content for clients' social media pages on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr and more!

-Increasing followers and fans at a generally fast pace

-Participating in strategizing and brainstorming sessions

The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications:

-Strong writing, communication and telephone skills

-A dedicated appreciation toward social networking

-Strong work ethic

-Impeccable organizational skills

-The ability to take direction and work in a flexible, fast-paced environment

-Exceptional ability to multi-task and prioritize

-Intimate familiarity with Apple technology and Excel

-A strong desire to work in Public Relations, Marketing and Branding

-Flexible personality

-Strong familiarity with social media platforms (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc.

-Extensive experience in Social Media, Public Relations, Marketing and Branding

Education/Experience Required:

-Have or be in the process of earning a degree in Public Relations, Communications or other relevant majors.
