Summary of Position
Associate Event Producer (FULL-TIME) - Festivals
Eighteentwentysix seeks an Associate Event Producer to coordinate all aspects of events from conception through execution - reporting to the CEO & COO. The primary responsibilities are developing ideas and concepts for an event, developing executable plans, overseeing operations, managing project timelines, directing staff, and coordinating technical and production teams. The Associate Event Producer will also be responsible for building and managing project budgets to ensure financial profitability and deliver value and a superior experience to our customers.
The ideal candidate is a blend of a creative and analytical thinker, capable of handling quantitative and technical duties while also using their eye for logistics and customer experience to implement the vision of an event seamlessly. They possess the ability to juggle a variety of tasks across multiple projects and collaborate with various teams to successfully execute events. Candidate must be comfortable with operating as a leader. This is a management position and will supervise staff members and vendors across a variety of departments, overseeing overall event operations.
Responsibilities
• Actively participate in creative ideation, collaborating with the CEO, COO, and other relevant parties.
• Exercise independent judgment to develop and manage project plan, production schedule and project budget that meet our requirements and budgets - providing weekly progress reports.
• Collaborate/communicate with all internal and 3rd party teams and provide direction to project staff both in-office during pre-production and onsite during project execution. Responsibilities include the ability to determine appropriate course of action in order to correct any problem that may arise during the production.
• Implement the original creative vision / budget for the event by contracting vendors, including the responsibility of negotiating contracts and executing binding financial agreements to budget with the input/approval of Eighteentwentysix CEO and/or COO.
• Oversee all production and technical aspects of events including directing production staff, conducting site inspections, testing equipment, attending event build and managing event run-downs to resolve potential technical errors, customer service or event related issues. Manage set-up of all audio-visual equipment and work closely with vendors and the operations manager, technical manager, and security manager.
What we are looking for in a full-time Associate Event Producer
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 4+ years of proven event development and Live Music/Performance/Festival production experience required
• Strong project and budget management skills
• Customer Experience/Service focus with attention to detail, flexibility and accountability for results
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Extraordinary organizational skills, self-motivation and logistical intuition
• Thrive in a fast paced, ethical, results oriented environment while meeting multiple deadlines
• Excellent computer skills
• Thorough understanding of permitting standards (Including but not limited to TPA, Special Event, Fire, Health & Safety, Building & Safety, Noise, etc.) and ability to successfully manage production timelines and needs as related to permit procurement.
• Exceptional vendor management skills.
• Experience developing effective and efficient staffing plans.
Extra credit
• Bilingual abilities preferably Spanish
• Experience with event niche (family, outdoor, festivals)
• CAD
• Hospitality/Retail/Point of Sale Management experience
