EditShare seeks a highly skilled Pre-Sales Engineer in the LA Metro area to drive technical sales success and support our growing customer base. As part of a regional team and global network, you will provide expert pre-sales services to customers and channel partners, working closely with sales, marketing, and product teams.
This role is critical in converting the sales pipeline into closed deals, delivering engaging product demonstrations, and positioning EditShare as a trusted technology partner. Reporting to the Regional RVP and the Global Pre-Sales Manager, you will help shape customer decisions, provide technical insights, and support strategic business growth.
Beyond sales, you'll actively observe customer behavior, anticipate future needs, and provide valuable feedback for product innovation. If you thrive on solving technical challenges, building relationships, and shaping the future of media workflows, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
-Client Engagement: Deliver engaging product demonstrations, presentations, and media workflows to help customers and channel partners understand EditShare's solutions.
-Sales Support: Assist in the sales process, providing technical guidance and ensuring smooth transitions from prospect to customer.
-Workflow Solutions: Identify customer pain points, design efficient media workflows, and document solutions with clear diagrams and scope-of-work documentation.
-Channel Partner Enablement: Support technical training through webinars, trade shows, and hands-on sessions to empower partners.
-Pre-Sales Team Collaboration: Work alongside senior pre-sales engineers to gain experience and contribute to team success.
-Proof of Concept (PoC) & Installations: Assist in setting up multi-vendor PoCs, on-site installations, and customer training.
-Technical & Product Insights: Provide updates and technical expertise to customers, resellers, and internal teams.
-Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with sales, marketing, engineering, and customer support to scope and implement customer projects.

What We're Looking For
Our Pre-Sales Engineers are our technical work flow specialists. We need empathetic problem solvers who deeply understand shared storage and Ethernet networking to support our clients. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with industry-standard creative tools and be able to demonstrate EditShare solutions in real-world workflows.
Required Skills & Expertise
T-echnical problem-solving with 3-5 years of experience in media, IT, or networking.
-Editing & Post-Production: Proficiency in Avid Media Composer, Apple Final Cut Pro X (FCPX), DaVinci Resolve, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
-Media Centric Storage: Core expertise, including NAS storage across Tier 1 and 2, (spinning disks & NVMe), with a strong understanding of clustered environments shared storage configurations using Ethernet networking.
-VFX & Finishing: Experience with Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve Fusion, or similar finishing tools.
-Media Formats & Codecs: Strong understanding of SD/HD/UHD workflows, including XDCAM, DNxHD, ProRes 4444, and H.264 proxies.
-Ingest & Playout: Familiarity with media asset management, ingest workflows, and playout solutions.
-Live Demonstrations: Ability to navigate and operate these creative tools during product demos to showcase how EditShare solutions integrate seamlessly into professional media workflows.
-Strong communication & time management skills - self-starter
-Networking: Hands-on L2/L3 troubleshooting, switch config/testing (Cisco Nexus/Catalyst, Netgear), TCP/IP, command-line diagnostics.
Systems & OS: Strong Linux, Windows, and Mac OS skills; experience with Microsoft AD, SSO, AWS cloud tech (EC2, block & object storage).
-Infrastructure & Deployment: High Availability (HA) architecture, bandwidth calculations, system design, racking, wiring, and commissioning.
-Customer Solutions: Capturing/documenting requirements, SoW creation, calculating storage and streams required using different codecs, articulating deployment roles, media storage & asset management.
Additional Preferred Skills
-Background in broadcast/post-production
-Knowledge of complex content creation & playout workflows
-Electronics/Computer Engineering degree preferred
