EditShare is looking for a highly talented Business Development Representative (BDR), reporting to our VP of Partner Strategy. As a key member of the US sales team, you will provide sales support by working with EditShare's sales team, customers, and resellers for the US in order to support business growth for EditShare. This is a hybrid position in the Boston area that requires some in-office presence.
As a BDR for the US, an important part of your role will be securing support renewals and helping to maximize the efficiency of the field sales team through the timely completion of tasks and solving sales-related problems. You will work alongside the rest of the US BDR and sales teams to develop and manage strong relationships in your region. You will identify and grow new business to drive sales forward from the early lead stage.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Prospecting:
-Conduct cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to engage prospective customers.
-Maintain a daily outreach target of 50 outbound touchpoints (calls/emails/LinkedIn).
-Utilize targeted account lists in key ideal customer sectors.
Lead Qualification & Handoff:
-Engage with inbound leads from website and marketing campaigns and follow-up/qualify.
-Identify key decision-makers, pain points, and business needs.
-Schedule qualified meetings for the sales team and ensure a smooth handoff.
CRM & Data Management:
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce.
-Track lead interactions, follow-ups, and conversion rates using Apollo.
-Provide feedback on messaging and prospecting effectiveness.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
-Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies.
-Actively monitor and engage with visitors on the company website chatbot to capture and qualify leads.
-Participate in and contribute to weekly team meetings refining targeting and messaging.
In the First 3 Months, You Will:
-Complete onboarding and training on EditShare's products, industry, and sales processes.
-Learn and master the value proposition and competitive positioning of EditShare's solutions.
-Become proficient in sales tools, including CRM (Salesforce), Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and outreach platforms.
-Begin outbound prospecting and engaging with potential customers, making at least a target number of outbound touches driven by results-based metrics.
-Qualify inbound leads from the website, website chatbot, events, and marketing campaigns.
-Contact existing customers
-Schedule and participate in introductory meetings with prospects and the sales team.
-Receive ongoing coaching and feedback to refine messaging and objection handling.
-Build an initial pipeline of potential opportunities in your assigned region.
In the First 6 Months, You Will:
-Consistently meet or exceed daily and monthly outreach targets.
-Become an expert in EditShare's ideal customer profile (ICP) and how to identify high-potential leads.
-Develop a solid understanding of customer pain points and industry trends to tailor outreach effectively.
-Work closely with account executives and sales leadership to transition qualified leads into the pipeline.
-Contribute to refining outreach strategies and messaging based on market feedback.
-Build strong relationships with prospects, partners, and internal teams.
