EDGE Productions is a full-service production company providing lighting, sound, video, creative services, and event management for corporate, association, and special events. EDGE is looking to expand its team of professionals who are committed to providing a first-class experience for its clients.
The Lighting Designer and console operator are jointly responsible for lighting design of each show to include CAD design with EDGE equipment; incorporating audio, video and stage design into the master plans. Routine maintenance, planning, preparation, and execution of EDGE Lighting for each event and will also assist other departments. Candidate would also be responsible for calling or actualizing lighting focus.
The ideal candidate will have all or most of the following qualities:
Has expert level programming experience on Hog4 consoles, will also consider a candidate with GrandMA experience
Proficient designing and using Vectorworks Spotlight
Has experience in warehouse prepping, packing, and loading/unloading equipment
Can lead a lighting department on show site and ensure a design gets installed correctly and safely
Experience with DMX, Artnet, and sACN protocols
Strong ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a time-sensitive production environment
Work cooperatively within a team and with other departments and can also teach EDGE standards to new techs coming into the department
Work well under hard deadlines; ability to plan workflow accordingly
Solid understanding of lighting production equipment and functionality
Effective communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends with Travel
Availability to work overtime during peak seasons
Ability to lift-up to 50 pounds
Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving. Physical activities include frequent use of hand tools, bending, stooping, lifting, climbing stairs, carrying, walking and/or reaching regularly.
