The Role
The Art Director is an integral role at eclipse advertising. The Art Director must have a passion for art and entertainment, with a broad understanding of entertainment marketing. The Art Director will design key art for a variety of projects within the theatrical, broadcast, streaming and gaming spaces. The Art Director is a big thinker who can take concepts from ideation to execution. The Art Director is highly organized with a natural ability to collaborate with all members of the eclipse team. The Art Director is able to juggle multiple urgent deadlines in a calm and cool manner. The Art Director is a self-starter and detail-oriented, with expert knowledge of the Adobe CC Suite.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Big Idea concept thinking
• Create effective, eye-catching, best-in-class creative design across all print creative from ideation to execution
• Collaborate with Art Directors and Creative Directors in all design projects
• Photo retouching, masking, compositing and other photo manipulation
• Participating in campaigns at any and all phases
• Maintain quality, organization and optimization for all platforms
• Understand and maintain brand direction/voice on campaign and client level
• Maintain clean workflows, transparent planning, meticulous asset management and clear communication
• Manage multiple assigned tasks simultaneously
• Ensure deadlines are met and standards and budgets are maintained
• Participate in brainstorms, crit reviews and meetings as needed
• Remain current in graphic design, marketing and entertainment industries by identifying trends, new traits, techniques and workflows
• Other responsibilities as needed
Skills
• Expert level Adobe CC Suite required
• Detail-oriented and extremely organized (multi-tasking is second nature)
• Excellent understanding of composition, color, imagery, typography and layout design
• Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple deadlines
• Ability to provide accurate ETAs and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate creative ideas
• Management of high volume projects
• Flexibility and availability to support creative requests at all times
• Strong team player comfortable collaborating and participating with all departments/levels within the organization in a highly professional manner
• Available to work a flexible schedule including late nights and weekends as needed
• Independent self-starter
• Positive can-do no-job-is-too small attitude
• Understanding of print creative process
• Illustration and/or photography skills a plus
Qualifications
• 3+ years of Art Director experience working on theatrical, TV and/or streaming Key Art
• College degree preferred
• Must have portfolio with relevant finishes/work
