Echo Lake Entertainment is a talent/literary management and motion picture/television production company based in Beverly Hills with around fifty employees. The company produces and finances films and television. Echo Lake's management division represents actors, writers, IP creators and directors from all over the world.

Echo Lake Entertainment is seeking a hands-on Manager of Accounting to lead Echo Lake's small accounting department. This Manager will report to the CEO and COO and will manage two Accounting Analysts. We are looking for a team player who can multitask in a very busy environment. This position is located in our Beverly Hills office. Applicants must be able to work in person 5 days a week.
Responsibilities:
• Monthly preparation and analysis of Financial Statements including Cost and Revenue Reporting
• Coordinates the annual financial tax returns, worker's compensation audit, insurance audit and any governmental audits as required audit compliance. Liaises with the Tax Preparer/CPA & Payroll Company
• Manages cash flow and safeguards all funds in bank accounts. Supervises the drawing of all checks and credit card expenditures. Liaises with the Bank Officer
• Manages HR/Payroll functions like employee set-up & payroll approval, in coordination with our PEO provider
• Maintains QuickBooks: entity set-up, Chart of Accounts/AP/AR system
• Develops, implements, administers, and monitors policies and procedures and systems to control and coordinate accounting, internal controls, auditing, taxes and related activities and records
Qualifications:
• Accounting degree
• 5 + years of accounting experience preferably in the entertainment industry
• Knowledge of QuickBooks
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel/Word
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Very detail oriented & analytical
• Auditing experience a plus
• Production accounting experience a plus
• Royalty and participation experience a plus
