Blu-ray Author Qualifications
• Ability to meet standards for quality of work
• Knowledge of how a Blu-ray disc function
• Understanding of various video and audio frame-rates and codecs
• Ability to manage time in order to work efficiently
• Willingness to work with other team members
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
• Experience with Premiere Pro and Photoshop, previous experience in authoring required

Job Functions
• Blu-ray Authoring in Scenarist
• Use of Photoshop to clean up menus to make them Blu-ray Ready
• Encoding Audio and Video to Blu-Ray specs
• Managing disc capacity by bit-budgeting
• Manage Quality Control of video and audio encoded files and functionality of the discs, and flag any possible issue to clients or managers.
• Deliver Check Discs and Digital Masters to Client or replication facility
