DTLA Film Festival -- the largest film-TV event in burgeoning downtown Los Angeles -- is now accepting applications for its Summer Internship program.
Celebrating its 11th year, the festival is produced by a nonprofit organization dedicated to showcasing films by and about groups underrepresented by Hollywood -- notably women, people of color, the economically disadvantaged and the LGBTQ community. Located in the historic core and new creative nexus of L.A., the festival also embraces the unique cultural and ethnic diversity of DTLA and its surrounding neighborhoods. Last year the festival screened more than 100 features, short films, episodic programs, and VR-AR productions.
Interns will assist senior staff in all aspects of preparation for the 2019 festival (Oct. 23-27), including research, programming, production and logistics. Please accompany your resume with a brief cover note, summarizing your background and how it applies to working behind-the-scenes at a film festival
