Backline Technician and Delivery

Compensation: Starting at $15.00 per hour with opportunities for weekly overtime at $22.50/hr up to $30/hr
Job Description
Drums Unlimited Rentals is a service company supplying Professional Musical Instrument Rentals to Venues, Theaters, and Clubs. We work with many National Touring Bands and Artists for concert dates in the DC, MD, VA, and surrounding area.
You must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be able to drive box type trucks. You must have your own reliable personal transportation to and from our College Park, MD location.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;
1. Detailed checking of musical equipment for use by professionals in performance situations. You will need to develop detailed knowledge of how to set up all types of musical instruments. Including but not limited to drum sets, guitar amplifier, bass amplifiers and keyboards.
2. Maintaining equipment we have in stock.
3. Organization of stock as well as work areas.
4. Delivering and/or picking up musical instruments using company vehicles. You must be able to lift heavy equipment (Over 80 Lbs.) on continuing bases.
5. Professional communication with customers at a venue, or job site
Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 5:00pm and Saturday from 9:30am to 2:00pm. All employees are required to accept work out side of the regular business hours as well as work on weekends as needed. Work outside of regular business hours is compensated at a starting overtime pay rate of $22.50/hour, regardless of the number of hours previously worked in the week. O.T Calls are paid at 4hrs minimum even if time spent is less. On occasion you may have to stay at a venue for the duration of a performance or festival. On Site Backline Technician rate is $30/ hour.

This is a full time position that requires a relatively open schedule especially on weekend nights.
