Full Time Job
Location: Kent, WA
Part Time
Wage: $17 per hour
The Driveline Academy is the home for all of Driveline's youth and amateur baseball oriented programs and services. The primary responsibility of our Driveline Academy Head Coaches will be working with our 9U - 18U teams for the duration of the season, starring with off-season training and moving into tournament game play.
During this period of time you'll be with the team, executing programs designed to drive long term development as players grow within the game. You'll be tasked with running a fun, efficient and engaging baseball practice both in the facility and on a field. You will be working with our staff to ensure each player is developing appropriately, using tools and technology to help players develop their skills, strength and baseball knowledge. You'll also be responsible for creating, building and strengthening team culture that inspires young players to love the game of baseball, appreciate their developmental progress over time and provides appropriate context for the wins and losses that they will experience along the way.

Technical Responsibilities:
• Serve in the Head Coach role for the duration of training & play for the 2021-2022 season (Oct 2021 - Appx July 2022)
• Create & execute team training programs during off-season / in-season training & practices
• Manage rosters / lineups in tournament games
• Manage your Assistant Coaches to ensure practices are properly staffed
• Communicate with player's families re: training / practice / tournament schedules
Schedule:
12U and Below Teams:
• Off-season Training: Oct - Feb - Two 120 minute practices per week (proposed)
• In-Season Practice: Appx 1 per month March through May, w/ additional practice as needed leading into tournaments
• Tournaments: 1 in February, 1 in April, 1 in May, 2-3 in June & July
13U and Above Teams:
• Off-season Training: Oct - Feb - Three to five 120 minute practices per week (proposed)
• In-Season Practice / Training: 2-3 per week
• Tournaments: 7-8 tournaments, appx 1 every two to three weeks (except for HS aged teams which go dark during HS season)
Job Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in Kent, Washington.
• Must be willing to commit to a full season's worth of work.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Experience playing collegiate or professional baseball, or coaching high school, collegiate or professional baseball
• Experience communicating with players 18 years of age and younger
• General familiarity using or teaching Driveline's programs or products
• Experience working with a team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Docs.
Ideal Candidates:
• Passionate about youth baseball and it's capacity to transform the lives of young baseball players
• Ground level experience with Driveline programs (HTKC & HTKCY, Axe Bat Speed & Axe Youth Bat Speed) in a team setting
• Experience with HitTrax, Diamond Kinetics or Blast Bat Speed Sensors, Motus, Pocket Radar, etc
• Fluent in Spanish
