Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• In partnership with HR supervisor, provide coaching, counsel and direction to all employees and managers in areas such as conflict resolution, performance management, and compensation
• Work with managers and employees to resolve diverse employee relations issues
• Act as an advocate for employees and managers in a manner that promotes trust, open communication, and problem resolution
• Provide direction and interpretation of company policies and procedures to employees and Management
• Help launch and track status/approval of performance reviews
• Support and facilitate organizational changes
• Facilitate weekly New Hire Orientations as part of a rotating group with other HR staff
• Liaise with various departments such as Production Accounting, Payroll, and HRIS to reso lve issues
• Contribute to, and may have project ownership of, certain processes for HR-related initiatives
• Act as back up to Leaves of Absences and Workers Compensation requests
• Assist in the creation and/or reviewing of job descriptions upon request and partner with recruitment partners to post vacant positions
• Respond to routine HR questions including, but not limited to benefits, payroll, vacation or redirect employees to appropriate contacts in a timely manner
• Perform exit interviews, as well as coordinate with Technology and Facilities to ensure all security measures are met and company assets are collected
• Process transactions in HR systems such as new hire and personnel actions such as promotions, termination paperwork, organizational changes, etc. through required work flow processes
• Assist with visa, immigration and relocation related needs
• Perform other ad hoc duties, as assigned
Qualifications
/Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor degree preferred
• 3 years working within the HR function
• Proven track record of forming effective relationships with client groups
• Solid understanding of labor laws and demonstrates strong HR sensibility and critical thinking
• Team oriented, self-starter with the ability to drive projects through completion with minimal supervision
• Must have strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to adapt quickly and be flexible in a dynamic environment
• High sense of urgency and customer service
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word and analytical skills. HRIS systems experience is a plus
• Excellent communications skills and ability to communicate and work with employees at all levels required
• Ability to work with and support an agile workforce and client groups working from various remote locations
