Summary:
The Director/Editor will be responsible for the preparation, direction, and completion of various marketing videos and promotional spots. DJI's video content encompasses a wide variety of styles and genres, from documentaries to narratives and everything in between; as such, the Director/Editor must be creatively adaptable to the tone and style of a given project.
Job Responsibilities:
Director responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Creatively prepping a shoot by making director's treatments, shot lists, guiding the creation of storyboards, casting, etc.
Adjusting creatives based on budgetary constraints or executive feedback.
Executing the production of the approved creatives as planned without deviating from the expected look and feel of the project.
Collaborating with the Creative Director in both prep and physical production when needed.
Editor responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Creating offline edits that succinctly and emotively tell the story of the video.
Executing revision notes exactly as requested.
Adding temporary color and sound enhancements where needed.
Collaborating with the Creative Director in all aspects of post-production when needed.
Requirements:
Experience executing marketing creatives for major brands.
General knowledge of professional cinema cameras (Red/Alexa).
Experience working in an Adobe CC environment.
Experience working in a ''Post House'' style workflow (working with proxies, servers, raw media)
Experience delivering rough offline edits with temp color correction and sound mixes.
General familiarity with DJI and its products.
Efficiency is key. We output a large volume of high-end videos regularly. If you are stuck working on a project for weeks with no end in sight, that means you are unable to support the team on other projects.
Must be able to manage working on multiple projects at the same time.
Flexibility to work extended hours when the project requires it.
Must be comfortable with periodic international travel.
