Responsibilities
Your Role…
We are seeking a dynamic and intuitive person to join us as a Seasonal Recruiter. In this on-stage role, you will be responsible for the effective sourcing, interviewing, and hiring of qualified candidates during our peak periods for a variety of hourly roles. This will be accomplished through a strong understanding of people, process, and technology within a fast-paced environment. Other responsibilities include identifying and contacting qualified applicants based on our hiring needs, making the hiring decision and documenting all steps of the hiring process in our Applicant Tracking System (Kenexa), and providing the candidate with all relevant information to support the administrative paperwork process and new hire onboarding experience. Besides matching talent to task, your role is also to create a memorial experience for your candidate that can only be found at Disney.
Basic Qualifications
• 3-5 years of Disney recruitment experience and/or 3 years salaried leadership experience
• Ability to work in a structured and autonomous environment while communicating effectively with minimal direction or supervision
• Proven organization skills with attention to detail
• Demonstrated strong problem solving and decision making skills
• Strong negotiating and influencing skills
• Proficient in using various computer applications and multi-tasking
• Ability to work in a structured and goal driven environment
• Ability to adapt and thrive within an evolving work environment
• Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for creating a memorable candidate hiring experience
• Strong team player with an operational mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interpret one's experience, qualifications, and skill-set
• Act as an ambassador of the brand and promote our core values
Preferred Qualifications
• Proven sales experience
• Proven knowledge of various Walt Disney World operations roles
• Prior or current experience with understanding of Disney's HR systems and processes
• Experience with Kenexa or equivalent ATS
• Bi-lingual ability (Spanish, Haitian-Creole, French, Portuguese, German, or Japanese)
Required Education
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Education
• Master's Degree or equivalent
Additional Information:
• Position Status: This is a seasonal position with a Casual Temporary-Salaried work status utilized in peak period with the potential for limited or no hours in the off season.
• Required Availability: Required to provide a minimum of 24 hours per week based on fluctuating operating hours/needs. Requirements may change based on business need.
• Training Requirements: At the start of the position, a full week of training will be conducted on site. Additional training will be conducted as needed.
• Location: You will be working in the Walt Disney World Casting Center (Lake Buena Vista, FL)
