Job Title: Sr. Production Accountant
Location: CA
Job Summary:
Disney TV Animation is seeking a Sr. Production Accountant to join their Production Finance Department, managing payment processing and accounting tasks for television series, pilots, and specials. This role requires interaction with various Disney departments, talent agencies, and Business Affairs.
Responsibilities:
• Manage setup and processing of payments, including assignments, bonuses, rights options, and milestone payments for animation series and development projects
• Review legal agreements to determine the correct method of payment and communicate with Business Affairs/Legal teams as necessary
• Serve as the liaison between talent agencies and Disney, gathering necessary starting paperwork
• Process payments via Media Services, Studio Payroll, Sargent Disc, or Accounts Payable
• Communicate payment status with all stakeholders and maintain up-to-date payment trackers
• Perform production accounting duties, including processing Accounts Payable in SAP, reviewing timecards for Studio Payroll, and preparing cost reports
• Attend staff meetings and other relevant meetings related to job requirements
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the entertainment industry
• Strong understanding of talent contracts and ability to communicate contract details
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Problem-solving and independent thinking abilities
• Friendly, team-oriented, with a positive attitude
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and accuracy skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in television or feature film production accounting
• Familiarity with union agreements
• SAP experience
Salary:
$82,400 – $113,300 per year, based on the candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and long-term incentive units may also be provided as part of the compensation package.
