Disney Theatrical Group (DTG) is seeking a Vice President, Production Operations to manage production aspects for both new and ongoing theatrical productions. This role involves overseeing production schedules, budgeting, and collaborating with various departments to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage General Management and Technical Production departments.
• Navigate competing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Oversee the entire production process from green light through opening and day-to-day operations.
• Be accountable for financial aspects of production, working closely with EVP, Producing and Development, and VP of Finance.
• Partner with Domestic Touring, International, and Sales/Marketing teams to execute shows efficiently and profitably.
• Stay informed about industry labor challenges and support the Director of Labor Relations.
• Provide leadership to the Director of Production on safety and risk management.
• Evaluate operating expenses and systems to improve profitability.
• Build key relationships with vendors and partners in production systems.
• Oversee budgeting, negotiation, and deal execution in collaboration with General Managers.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in commercial theatrical production with strong knowledge of technical production processes.
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams and navigating production challenges.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and able to handle challenges proactively.
• Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, and work off-hours when necessary.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Salary range: $204,600 - $264,700 per year.
