Human Resources Business Partner (Hilton Head)
Job Summary:
Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort is located in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, 350 miles Northeast of Orlando and is one of three off-site Disney Vacation Club Beach Resort offerings. Situated on a 15-acre private island within Shelter Cove Harbour and oceanfront on three-and-a half acres just a short distance away, the resort offers 123 vacation homes, including 21 studios, 21 one-bedrooms, 76 two-bedrooms, and 5 three-bedroom grand villas, and an oceanfront beach house.
Sitting at the intersection of HR and business leaders, HRBPs are in the unique position to shape employee experiences, ensure the organization talents grow in meaningful ways and make business leaders and HR as successful as possible. HRPBs are the primary HR contact with their client groups and have a deep understanding of organization, people and business issues imperative for growth.
This is a full-time, salaried position. Candidates should be available to work Monday-Friday, during standard business hours. Additionally, weekend, evening, and holiday work may be required to support the needs of the business.
This role drives the identification of HR needs, and participates in the implementation and measurement of HR strategies to enable the business needs of the client. It also partners with executives and line of business leaders to ensure successful implementation and sustainability of HR initiatives within the client's business. In addition, the HR Services Manager is responsible for enabling business strategies, shaping employee experience and fostering leadership success.
Responsibilities:
• Strategy & Goals – Leverage workforce insights and business priorities to develop and drive organizational and people strategies that support business goals.
• Organization Development – Assess the effectiveness of the organization's structure and processes.
• Talent Solutions – Drive talent management conversations to forecast talent needs, develop succession plans, invest in high performers, manage underperforming cast and ensure continuous improvement of its people.
• Transition Management – Provide guidance, tools and processes to effectively communicate the business rationale for change, gain support and commitment from the organization and help transition those impacted.
• People Effectiveness – Assess the overall health of the organization to ensure team members feel respected and valued and are equipped with the skills needed to be successful.
• HR Functional Expertise – Has broad understanding of all HR functions and collaborates with segment and enterprise HR partners to ensure the right HR solutions are provided.
• Partner with executive(s) and LOB leaders to determine HR needs and ensure the successful implementation and sustainability of global HR initiatives within the client's business.
• Provide leadership education on philosophy/approach/tools as it relates to Performance Management for Salaried and Office & Technical Cast Members
• Drive the identification of HR needs and participate in the implementation and measurement of HR strategies to enable the client's business initiatives. Review HR strategies and implementation plans with HR leadership to determine priorities, set expectations and ensure successful integration
• Partner with HR functional areas to provide HR expertise to the clients
• Facilitate accurate and consistent interpretation of policies and procedures with respect to Company values, Company policies, and applicable state and federal laws, including successful implementation of Performance Management, HR Compliance issues, and Leave of Absence management
• Oversee Health and Safety initiatives including Worker's Compensation, Health and Wellness, Benefits, Leave of Absences and return to work programs.
• Consult with executives and leaders on organizational health issues and develop appropriate strategies.
• Provide HR direction for leadership in LOB executive committee/meetings.
• Provide support to Training initiatives and the Recruitment needs of the Resort.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources (HR generalist or a related position)
• Demonstrated HR Generalist experience and exposure to a variety of HR disciplines including employee relations, training, staffing and compensation
• Proven experience leading teams
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to influence and partner within a diverse organization to help drive business results
Required Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred Education
Master's degree in Human Resources or related field
