International Production Specialist (Music)
Job Summary:
The Disney Music Group (DMG) is the music hub for TWDC, encompassing all aspects of music commercialization and marketing: recorded music (Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records), Disney Music Publishing, and Disney Concerts. DMG distributes music both physically and digitally, and also licenses music throughout the world in various forms of media including television, print, gaming, and consumer products.
This role is vital to ensuring timely delivery of our international products worldwide, be it Physical (CD and Vinyl), Digital (Singles, Albums, Tiktok edits, etc.) or Video (delivering a variety of content across International VEVO Channels).
This role will specialize in creating/reviewing packaging copy and providing production approval of INTL graphic content be it localized or original.
In addition to arranging INTL mastering requests and routing for local and domestic approvals, this role will enter and review INTL metadata, follow up on pending legal rights, publishing, sales/marketing distribution plans and have the guarded ability to process necessary INTL updates post-release with our distributors.
Additionally, this role will be responsible for independently training and ensuring compliance in the use of all DMG systems that international employees have access to abroad, as well as ensuring that all INTL assets are appropriately archived in a timely manner.
In depth research for international preservation efforts to include preparing artwork, audio, and metadata for missing digital products in the marketplace.
Responsibilities
and Duties of the Role:
• Review, route and provide approval on localization of Graphic assets as well as original physical products made internationally working with UMG counterparts to ensure the proper archival of all physical content (including building packaging copy when necessary)
• Maintain DMG metadata systems and schedules as related to INTL Production - Facilitate the manual correction of INTL metadata which may occur post release
• Process INTL Videos for certain IP's as directed
• Attend and/or individually lead as directed INTL production calls with each of the territories to ensure appropriate use of DMG Systems and ensure INTL workspaces/archives are healthily maintained thus preventing any future backlogs
• Work directly with Mastering Houses to process INTL Mixes and route for necessary local and domestic approvals
Required Education
, Experience/Skills/Training:
• Minimum of 1 year proofing copy/graphic assets
• Minimum of 2+ years working with metadata, preferably in the entertainment field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced skill with MAC/Parallels, Excel, Word
• Attention to detail, problem solving, and high level of accuracy is critical
• Energetic, efficient, excellent time-management skills; this is a FAST-PACED, continually evolving environment
• Highly intelligent and adaptable; quick learner
• Strong work ethic
• Good interpersonal skills: very customer and service focused
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change course of action quickly

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bilingual skills English/Japanese
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in music production
• General knowledge of asset database management a plus
• Bachelor's Degree
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $59,925 to $77,550per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
