Job Summary:
This role will be responsible for manually claiming user generated content embodying Disney/Fox published copyrights on YouTube and Facebook/Instagram (i.e., Meta) and researching related exploitations of the UGC covers across digital streaming platforms in order to ensure the cover recordings of our copyrights are properly matched at The Mechanical Licensing Collective. ISRC data on cover recordings will need to be tracked and provided to our copyright administration team in order for the data to be ingested into Counterpoint and subsequently delivered digitally to all DSPs. In addition to claiming efforts, resolving conflicting claims between Disney/Fox and other publishers in the digital marketplace will be an essential focus for this role. The ability to clearly and effectively communicate the errors in claims is essential to being effective and efficient in these efforts.
The ideal candidate will also be able to nurture productive partnerships with our key digital partners by participating in regular calls with the DPS, beta-testing tech enhancements and providing timely feedback with the end goal of streamlining claiming and conflict resolution.

• Review of potential matching videos in YouTube CMS and Meta Rights Manager
• Resolve conflicting assets in YouTube CMA, Meta Rights Manager and The MLC Portal
• Beta-test enhancements to rights management systems for claiming and conflict resolution; providing feedback to DSPs
• Participation in regular calls with key digital partners. Research cover recordings across DSPs and submit matching claims via The MLC Portal. Providing detailed monthly reports of claiming and conflict resolution efforts to department head
Required Qualifications:
• Comprehensive knowledge of music publishing and digital rights as it pertains to user generated content, cover recordings and fair use under copyright law
• Familiarity with The MLC Portal and PRO websites
• Intermediate command of Counterpoint
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and meet KPIs
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Excel, You Tube CMS and Meta Rights Manager
Preferred Qualifications:
