Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis
Location: New York, NY
About the Role & Team:
Disney Entertainment & ESPN (DE&E) Technology is transforming the future of the company, and the Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) in Financial Planning and Analysis plays a key role in that transformation. The SFA collaborates with the DE&E Technology team to prepare long-range plans, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts. This role involves managing cloud and variable software costs, and supporting the financial needs of Disney's Direct-to-Consumer products and broadcast networks.
What You Will Do:
• Create and improve financial models to forecast and analyze technology expenses
• Support the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan and current-year forecasts
• Track invoices, manage accruals, and reconcile general ledger data
• Manage the quarter close process, including preparing journal entries and variance reports
• Prepare ad-hoc reports, special projects, and presentations for internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with Technology stakeholders, including senior executives, budget owners, and engineers
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math, Statistics, or a scientific field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in consulting, financial services, or corporate finance
• Strong analytical skills and advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Attention to detail and ability to learn new systems quickly
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in FP&A, public accounting, or financial services
• Experience working with financial systems like SAP, Cognos TM1, or Hyperion
