The Senior Analyst is an important part of the team who will drive analytical analyses in financial and subscription growth modeling realms. They will need to clearly and succinctly present those analyses in varying formats and contexts. Illustrative examples include assessing pricing and promotional offer strategy, evaluating subscriber acquisition and retention initiatives, and sizing new growth and monetization opportunities. We also often lead presentations for C-Suite level executives and DTC leadership. Broadly defined, the work in this role will help shape Disney's DTC (direct to consumer) growth strategy!
What You Will Do
• Architect thoughtful, detailed, and actionable analyses to answer the needs of the business, both in short- and long-term contexts
• Build comprehensive, digestible, and impactful presentation materials that outline key elements of projects
• Act as the liaison between the SVP of Direct-to-Consumer Finance and other cross-functional teams, with an emphasis on Subscriber Planning and Business Operations
• Tactically and seamlessly move between different projects and analysis raised by leadership to inform decision making
• Contribute to culture of ''constant ideation'' by speaking your mind on opportunities for Disney+ to continue to innovate and grow
Required Experience/Skills:
Given the dynamic scope and type of work within Tactical Opportunities, projects will often be complex, ambiguous, and fluid. As such, success in this highly impactful role requires robust analytical and presentation skills with a strong interest in using data to solve problems.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, management consulting, direct-to-consumer or media & entertainment strategy, or similar fields
• Outstanding excel skills with experience navigating large data sets, building subscription models, and tackling broader analytical analyses
• Excellent PowerPoint and accompanying communication skills with an ability to distill complex ideas into structured outputs and present to all levels of management
• Thrive in ambiguity with a deliverable-focused attitude, strong work ethic, ability to prioritize, and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
• Knowledge and understanding of subscription / DTC KPIs are highly preferred, and experience in the media & entertainment industry is a plus
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or related field
The hiring range for this position in New York is $104,200 to $143,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
