This is a full-time internship, and the approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 through December 2026. If selected for the role, you will report directly to the Manager, Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment. What You Will Do
WDTV is seeking an Unscripted Programming Intern who will be an outstanding addition to our growing team. As an unscripted programming intern, you will experience the day-to-day efforts of a premier streaming network. You will gain an exclusive understanding of what it takes to produce unscripted series and a stronger knowledge of the entertainment industry overall.
As a member of the team, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with all Original Content sub-teams including Post, Production Management, Marketing, PR, Legal, Business Affairs, Finance and Data teams. The ideal candidate for this opportunity is a TV superfan who exhibits intellectual curiosity, thinks critically and creatively, possesses strong attention to detail and employs a proactive approach to problem solving. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Updating Reports: Research various topics and update current reports using Microsoft Suite.
• View and sort Pitch Material: Look at pitch material that has been submitted to see what types of shows are being pitched.
• Screen Cuts: View cuts of current shows we have in production before they go on air.
• Administrative Duties: Cover phones, schedule meetings, update reports and more
• Support in department wide creative projects such as tracking IP, building casting decks, etc.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Experience working in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, Airtable, and Adobe Suite.
• Experience working in Mac computer systems.
• Prior related internship experience, ideally in unscripted content.
• A curiosity in unscripted television and hunger to learn.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a constantly evolving work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior administrative experience is a plus.
• Experience in covering desks and phone lines for executives and/or senior leadership.
• Knowledge of current series on ABC, Hulu and other networks/streamers is a plus, along with a passion for television.
Education
• Senior year preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
• Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization

• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
• The approximate dates of this internship are January 2026 through June 2026
• Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm PT for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
• Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, California area
• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
Salary/Benefits
$22.50
per hour
$22.50 /hour USD

The Walt Disney Television Unscripted & Alternative Entertainment team focuses on unscripted programming for ABC Network and Hulu, featuring popular shows such as The Bachelor franchise, Shark Tank, Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, Celebrity Family Feud, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Additionally, the team produces original content for Hulu, including The Kardashians, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and Vanderpump Villa. They also manage awards shows and specials, including The Oscars, Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest, and The CMA Awards.
