The Senior Vice President of Contract and Casting Administration at Disney Entertainment Television is seeking a Manager to support all of the administration teams across DET. The ideal candidate is a highly organized individual who has extensive experience in a fast-paced environment in television contract administration, production and/or finance, project management and wide-ranging use and familiarity with technology systems. Strong communication skills, excellent judgment, proactive thinking and the ability to work with a high level of detail, while interfacing with a variety of team members, high-level executives (internally and externally), production personnel and talent representatives are essential. Strong time management and multi-tasking skills are required, as well as discretion and maintaining confidentiality. Proven ability to prioritize, independently manage workload and carry out a variety of assignments punctually and efficiently. A positive and professional demeanor under pressure are a must. Candidates should be prepared to collaborate across teams and cover additional duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Research, analyze and evaluate processes and systems within DET administration teams and across other departments. Assist in establishing and maintaining procedures across centralized teams to ensure consistency in processes and workflow.
• Maintain division-specific workflow plans and interface with studio and platform groups including Creative/Series, Finance, Legal, Production, Casting and Business Affairs groups to ensure communication and collaboration.
• Identify and resolve ongoing issues related to the reorganization and centralization of the admin teams. Work with admin team leaders to create policies and determine best practices.
• Manage communication methods and policy implementation across admin teams and other departments, including sending updates to policies as processes change and evolve.
• Provide a resourceful and critical approach to understanding and resolving a variety of issues.
• Initiate unified digital file workflows in database systems (e.g., Blast/iDeA, Airtable, NetDocs and DocuSign) for proper archiving and auditing. Oversee ongoing digital file migrations and establish a bridge between physical and digital files. Work with brand stakeholders and product management technology teams to deliver new features for evolving DET workflows and development to minimize duplicative work, find efficiencies and establish consistency.
• Consolidate vital historical files into one location, maintain best practices across teams. Manage special projects, generate reports requested by senior management and prepare meeting materials (e.g., compile grids and curate relevant information across multiple brands).
• Provide ongoing support to admin teams in connection with database and other software systems.
• Maintain and update various charts and reports for individual brands and across DET.
• Serve as a point of contact for miscellaneous inquiries from inside and outside the company and conduct necessary research or direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
• Collaborate in updating templates and policy guidelines.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment for all who interact with the admin departments.
Qualifications:
• Four year Bachelor's degree or other film/television-related undergraduate degree is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years prior work experience in television contract administration, production and/or finance, project management and extensive use and familiarity with technology systems.
• Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with NetDocs, AirTable, BLAST (Salesforce), SAP Concur and IDeA preferred.
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $78,200.00 to $104,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
