Executive Assistant, Unscripted Programming (Disney Entertainment Television)
Job Summary:
Disney Entertainment Television is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the SVP, Unscripted & Alternative Series for ABC Entertainment and & Hulu Originals. Responsibilities for the role include heavy scheduling, answering phones, and the ability to anticipate the needs of the executive and the office.
Responsibilities:
• Schedule meetings, answer phones, make travel arrangements and various other administrative tasks to support the SVP, Unscripted & Alternative Series
• Review the SVP's schedule to build-in time to prep for meetings properly and assist with prep when needed
• Stay informed by reviewing relevant materials and proactively sharing key information with the leader to support informed decision-making
• Interface directly with senior executives and their support teams, requiring strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Be prepared to adjust and revamp the entire schedule in response to unforeseen situations and resume normal operations once the situation is resolved
• Handle extremely confidential, sensitive information, remembering that Disney is a publicly traded company
• Stay up to date on the status of incoming materials for all our shows
Basic Qualifications
• 2+ years' prior work experience at a talent agency, production company, studio or network with a solid grasp of the entertainment business
• General understanding of the unscripted television development process and cycles
• A team player who is adaptable and can maintain their composure in a high stress, fast paced environment
• Ability to anticipate the executive's needs and effectively handle frequently changing priorities
• Thrives in an environment that requires commitment and administrative focus, strong organizational skills, precise attention to detail, and solid judgement
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; positive and collaborative working style
• Ability to multitask, manage and disseminate a variety of work tasks punctually and effectively
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Keynote and Airtable)
• Demonstrated tech-savviness with the ability to quickly learn and navigate new tools, systems, and platforms to support executive and team needs efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting a senior executive in entertainment is preferred
• Knowledge and passion for entertainment and media
• Prior experience in on-set or production environments is valued, though not a prerequisite
Required Education
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $58,700 to $78,600 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
