Executive Assistant, Drama Development (20th Television)
Job Summary:
20th Television is looking for an assistant to support a VP and Executive Director in the Drama Development department. This is a high volume, fast-paced desk, so the perfect candidate will: have superior organizational and communication skills; is highly motivated and detail-oriented; and can remain calm under pressure. Job responsibilities include standard assistant duties, team coordinating, and script coverage.
Responsibilities:
• Proactively manages smooth operations of the executive's calendar and office, being mindful of deadlines and priorities.
• Organizes heavy calendar scheduling, facilitates email and phone correspondence; submits expense reports, purchasing requests for supplies; books travel arrangements.
• Watch cuts and read incoming scripts to write loglines and share notes.
• Update grids with staff lists and production calendars.
• Create clip selections from dailies for internal viewing.
• Track incoming material and staffing submissions.
• Collect information for timely internal memos.
• Be familiar with all internal department points of contact, as well as their counterparts at the Network or Streamer.
• Take notes on meetings and calls.
• Provide additional support to other executives and department as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
• 1+ years of previous administrative assistant experience in a high-volume entertainment desk at a studio, network, management company, production company or talent agency.
• Able to present information in a confident, well-articulated, creative, and engaging manner.
• Literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Critical thinking & problem-solving skills
• General understanding of the television development process and cycles
• Knowledge of agencies and networks.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work overtime with short notice.
• Must work well under pressure.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Must have a passion for television and the desire for a career in TV.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience interning at a studio or network.
• Passion for learning and eagerness to be a team player.
The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $52,400- $70,200 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
